Obituary Christian Locke Strotmeyer, 52, of Stoneville, NC passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on October 23, 2023, in their vacation home in Beaufort, NC. A funeral service will be held at Saint Bridget Catholic Church in Richmond, VA, 6006 Three Chopt Rd, at 11 AM on Saturday, November 4, 2023, with a memorial reception immediately following at the Westwood Club. Born on February 11, 1971, in Richmond, VA, he attended St. Bridget School, Douglas Freeman High School, Louisburg college in NC and graduated with a Business degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Later, he resided in Virginia Beach for nearly 25 years where he spent his career as a successful pharmaceutical sales professional. A testament to his dedication, hard work, and natural ability to connect with people. Christian later married the love of his life and moved to Stoneville, NC further enriching his life with 4 loving stepchildren and the small-town living. Christian grew up spending his summers at the river on Fishing Bay in Deltaville VA. He later became an avid deep-sea sport fisherman and enjoyed duck hunting with his father, his uncle Bob and his many hunting and fishing buddies. He found peace and joy in the great outdoors. His adventures on the water and in the field were not just hobbies, but a reflection of his love for life and adventure, traveling to many parts of the world. He is survived by his loving wife, Julie Strotmeyer of Stoneville, and his four stepchildren Macy, Hannah, Katie, and Jake. He was a devoted husband and stepfather, always looking for the next adventure they could take as a family. He was a firm believer in building memories with the ones you love. If you spent time talking with Christian, you would know what was going on in the kids lives; he always found a way to brag about them and loved being able to tell people he now had four kids and four dogs. Christian is also survived by his parents, John and Pam Strotmeyer of Richmond, VA; two brothers, Jay Strotmeyer, Stone Strotmeyer (Jill); two sisters, Trisha Kelly (Eddie), and Rachel Strotmeyer; nieces and nephews, August, Baron, Pamela, and Caroline. Christian was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him. Christian was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jack and Phyllis Strotmeyer; maternal grandparents, John and Margaret Burke; and Ann Davis Burke. Their love and guidance shaped Christian into the man he was, and we find comfort in knowing that they are once more reunited. Christians best four-legged friend, Ryder, will miss his companion greatly. Their bond was a testament to Christians kind heart. Ryder brought joy and companionship to Christians life, and he will surely feel his masters absence.
