Obituary William Brockington "Tony" was born October 27, 1938, in Darlington, SC, to James Brockington and Louise Garner. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Thursday May 12, 2022 at Craven Corner Missionary Baptist Church of Havelock, NC. He was introduced to the Lord and Savior at an early age and later became a member of Craven Corner Missionary Baptist Church. He united in Holy Matrimony on June 30, 1970, to the love of his life and mother of his four children, Alvina. In the 1970s, William was a farmer for Taylor Farms Inc., he later worked with Croatan Forest for about five years, he also worked on Cherry Point Base as a tractor driver. William was a loving Husband and Father and Grandfather who worked hard to provide for his family. He loved working on lawn mowers. William was preceded in death by his parents, James Brockington and Louise Garner; two brothers, Leroy Brockington and Eugene Brockington; two sisters, Juanita Clark and Mary Francis Brockington; son, Ronnie Brockington; grandchild, Corianna Cox; great grandchild, MyAngel Drew. Those remaining to cherish his precious memories are his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Alvina Brockington, four daughters; Delicia, Rebecca and Jennifer Brockington of Havelock, NC, Theresa Brockington of New Bern, NC; one brother, Willie Jr. Brockington of Platka, FL; two sisters of Darlington, SC, Willie Mae Byrd (Velt), Mary Louise Brockington; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 sons he called his very own; Harden George "Henry" and Quincy Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special friend "Tabby".
