Obituary Alice Clara Biondy, 83, of Otway, went home to be with the Lord on February 22, 2019 at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City, NC. Alice was born on December 20, 1935 to the late Walter E. Hackett and Clara B. Hackett in Atlantic County, NJ. Alice lived most of her life in Pleasantville, NJ and always called it her home. She traveled most of the United States while married to Marius Paul Biondy who was active duty US Air Force. Alice retired from both J.C. Penny and Sears in Pleasantville. Her last job was at Caesars Atlantic City where she was a Pit Clerk. Alice was an avid crafter and loved making things with her hands. She made plastic canvas creations, knitted, crocheted, sewed and used to sew Barbie doll clothes with her mother. During her younger years, she played the accordion on the Steel Pier in Atlantic City. Alice was a 4H Leader, camp counselor and school chaperone for all four of her children. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday April 10, 2019 at Otway Christian Church with Pastor Jack Mumford officiating followed by burial at the family plot at Laurel Memorial Park in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. She is survived by her daughter, Faune Willis and her husband Thomas of Otway; son, Marius P. Betton and his husband Frankie of Palm Springs, Ca.; grandchildren, Kim Todd Hughes of Beaufort; Stephanie Conover of Sumter, SC; step grandchildren, Kevin Willis and wife Erma of Gloucester; Kenneth Willis and wife Deanna of Harkers Island; Keith Willis and girlfriend Robin of Gloucester; Kimberly Willis of Straits; great grandchildren, Kevin Flannigan of Sumter, SC; Anthony Farrell of Mays Landing, NJ; step great grandchildren, SuAnna Willis of Columbus Ga; Karrissa Pruett and husband Jake of Columbus Ga; sister, Anna Clark of Macon, Ga; niece, Susan Dowdell and husband Rick of Macon Ga; and nephew, Jerry Clark of Macon Ga. Alice was preceded in death by daughters, Cheryl Forsman of Sumter, SC; and Melody Conover of Pleasantville, NJ. A special thank you to the staff at Carteret Health Care, Cherry Point Bay Rehabilitation Center and Carteret Home Health and Hospice for their compassionate and tender care of our mother Alice.
