Alma Lois Fulcher

Alma Fulcher, 96, of Atlantic, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City. Mrs. Fulcher volunteered for over 18 years with the Foster Grandparent Program at Atlantic Elementary School and was affectionately known as "Granny Alma". She worked for over 25 years with Clayton Fulcher Seafood and Luther Smith & Sons Seafood. She also worked briefly at the Sea Level Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Atlantic United Methodist Church with Pastor Jack Colenda officiating. She is survived by her son, Michael Boyd Fulcher of Atlantic; daughter, Diana Wright of Atlantic; four grandchildren, Sherri Fulcher Guthrie and husband, Kelly of Harkers Island; Michael B. Fulcher Jr. and wife, Leigh of Smyrna; James Wright and wife, Mia of Atlantic; Natalie Feck and husband, Shane of Bell Buckle, TN; seven great grandchildren, Charles Michael Fuchs and wife, Lindsey of Williston; William Feck of Bell Buckle, TN; Nicholas Feck of Bell Buckle, TN; Hayden Fulcher of Atlantic; Lexi Fulcher of Smyrna; Selby Wright of Atlantic; Tinley Guthrie of Harkers Island; great great granddaughter, Charlotte Fuchs of Williston. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Alexina Styron; husband, Selby Anderson Fulcher; four brothers, Boyd, Dale, Hugh, and Aron Styron; two sisters, Avis Gorges and Eura Meads; daughter in law, Phyllis Fulcher; son in law, William Wright.
