In Loving Memory of Betsy June Styron

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Betsy June Styron, who left us on May 16, 2024, at 80 years old.

Our hearts ache as we come to terms with the devastating fire that claimed not only the roof over our family’s heads but also Betsy June Styron. Betsy June, a pillar of strength to her family, shared her home with her daughter Amy and grandson Jacob.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Atlantic Community Cemetery.

Betsy June's presence radiated warmth and love, casting a comforting glow upon the tender memories of her family. Our family gatherings in Atlantic were filled with laughter and cherished moments, painting a picture of love and togetherness quintessential to our Down East roots.

Betsy June is survived by her sisters, Patricia Styron and Marsha Styron; her children, Billy Matthews, Gina Strickland & her spouse Bill, and Amy Willis; her grandchildren, Samantha, Felicia, Jacob, Sunshine, and Taylor; her great-grandchildren, Hailey, Elizabeth, Zachary, Lexington, Nathan, Connor, Corbin, Carson, and Nevaeh; her great-great grandchildren, Hayden, Ivy, Jaelyn, and Evelyn; as well as her niece and nephews, Virgil, Carla, Greg, and Russell.

Betsy June was predeceased by her parents, Melvin and Georgia Styron, her sister, Georgia Carol Gaskill, as well as two of her grandchildren, Landon Willis and Laney Salter

By her wishes, in place of a funeral, a graveside service will be held at the Atlantic Cemetery. The time and date will be announced. Friends and family are invited to gather to share memories and honor a life well-lived. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Noe Funeral Home in Beaufort.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in the knowledge that Betsy June's spirit will live on in the countless lives she has touched. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Rest in peace, Betsy June Styron. Your legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will continue to inspire us all.
