Betsy Lawrence

Betsy Lawrence, 82, of Bettie, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Carteret Health Care of Morehead City.

Betsy was a devoted member of Woodville Baptist Church, where she actively participated in the mission group and contributed to various community mission efforts. Her dedication to helping others reflected her deep commitment to her faith and her community.

Betsy found joy in singing, a passion that brought light to those around her. She also had a creative spirit, expressed through her love of crafting, which allowed her to share her talents with friends and loved ones.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Woodville Baptist Church in Bettie with Dr. Michael Blevins and Pastor Terry D. McInnis officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00 on Saturday at the church. 

She is survived by her son, Mike Hollingsworth Jr. of Bettie; daughter, Tracy Casdorph and husband, Doug of Placentia, CA; stepson, Eddie Lawrence of Bettie; granddaughter, Savanah Assadoghli and husband, Aaron of Maddison, AL; great granddaughter, Ellie Assandoghli.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Reenie Lamm; her husband, Ralph Lawrence; son, James Lawrence; stepson, Paul Lawrence.
