Beulah Modlin

Beulah Lee Modlin, 88, of Beaufort, passed away peacefully with family on Thursday, March 7, 2024. at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Bridgeway Church of Beaufort with Pastor Rick Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Oceanview Cemetery in Beaufort. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 Saturday at the church.

She is survived by her son, Jimmie Modlin and wife, Connie, of Durham; daughter, Iris Modlin Vincent and husband, Tom, of Havelock; and three grandchildren: Emily Modlin, of Durham, Alyssa Kaczur and husband, Joe, of Franklinton, and James Vincent, of Havelock.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James "Jimmy" Modlin and her parents, Leaman Eubanks and Beulah Dixon Eubanks of Beaufort, and stepmother, May P. Eubanks.

Beulah retired from 25 years of service as a state employee of the NC State Port Authority in Morehead City. She was a member of the Beaufort Chapter #128 Order of the Eastern Star.

Beulah was a loving mother and grandmother, and enjoyed sharing her beautiful life with her lifelong sweetheart, and husband of 70 years, Jimmy.
