Obituary Beverly Ballard Price, 74, left the world in her wake on October 14th, 2018. Beverly was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 15, 1944. As a child, her parents relocated to Greensboro, NC, and she never looked back. She was born to be a Carolina girl. She loved shagging, Nascar, cheap beer and Winston Reds. Elvis Presley was the love of her life, and when the world lost Dale Earnhardt, she mourned for days. What her life lacked in longevity, was made up for in experiences. Whether it be recalling riding on the back of a Harley after a long day at work, owning pecan fields, living off oranges and cream of wheat, spending her Friday nights at the race track, or sock hops and dancing at the drive ins as a teenager, she always had a heck of a story to share. Beverly didnt know a stranger. Everyone who knew her loved her, from her daughters childhood friends who fondly called her Mama Bev, to her friends at the stores she frequented. There was never someone she just knew; if she knew you, you were a friend. She was the type of mother that everyone wished they had, and she was the type of grandmother who on more than one occasion got a call from Santa Claus telling her to slow down or she would out do him - again. She loved her friends and family fiercely and would have given the shirt off her back for any of them at any time, with no questions asked. The only people that she loved as much as her family, were her patients. As a caretaker, she had the privilege of helping people through the most difficult times of their lives. in many situations she became as much of a support to her patients families as she was to the patient themselves. Beverly had a way of making people feel at ease, and she was able to bring comfort to many during her career. She had a true talent for tending to the needs of others above her own, and always considered herself blessed to be able to give her heart to her patients. A celebration of her life will be held at the family home at a later date. She leaves behind her daughters, Kaeti and husband Brandon of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Melissa and husband Derek, of Morehead City, NC; grandchildren Jane and Libby, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Hana, Wyatt, and Camden, of Morehead City; brother Mike and wife Metta of Greensboro, NC; niece Lori and family of NC, and nephew Michael, of GA; and her grand-dogs Kord, Little, and Astraea. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Loretta, and her beloved boxer, Three. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimers Association, St. Judes Hospital, or Wounded Warriors. Even in death, her desire to help others lives on.
