Carey Durham Wilson

Obituary Carey Durham Wilson, 88, of Beaufort, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at his home. He was a member of Maranatha Pentecostal Holiness Church of Beaufort. He was a veteran having served in the US Army. He worked for 19 years with Sealtest Ice Cream Company and 22and a half years as the owner and operator of Grandmas Attic of Morehead City. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and celebrating with family. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at Maranatha Pentecostal Holiness Church of Beaufort with Pastors Jacob Snyder and Dana Brewer officiating. Burial will follow with military honors at Tuttles Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 Masks and social distancing will be required. The service will be live streamed and can be viewed from noefs.net website. He is survived by his daughter, Pamela W. Pane of Newport; son, David Wilson and wife, Lil of Beaufort; daughter, Beverly Vaughan and husband, Jerry of Havelock; son, Mike Wilson and wife, Jackie of Beaufort; son, Tom Grant Wilson of Beaufort; daughter, Annie W. Brown and husband, Scott of Cary; son, Jimmy Christopher Wilson of Otway; nine grandchildren, Josh, Danny, Jeremy, Stephanie, Tyler, Ariana, Jill, Sophia, and Kenslie; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Wilson; second wife, Thelma Wilson; son, Carey Lee Wilson; and grandson, Frank Pane III. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 to 12:45 at the church.
