Carmen Huston

Obituary Carmen "Polly" Huston, 80, of Beaufort, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at home after a long illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, March 21, 2022 at St. Egbert Catholic Church. Father Ryszard Kolodziej will officiate. Carmen loved her church, her family, and her friends. She liked making Christmas crafts, going to the movies, and taking day trips with friends. She worked as a substitute teacher in Maryland when Ronald was stationed there with the U.S. Coast Guard and later worked as a private duty caregiver in Carteret County. Carmen is survived her husband Ronald, daughter Melissa, son-in-law Robby, and her sister Irma Gonzales. Her extended family includes niece Diana, nephews Darold, David, and Michael, and second daughter Karen. She was preceded in death by her parents Rita and Fred, her nephew Matthew, and her best friend, Mary McCabe. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital (stjude.org).
