January 13, 1978 — January 26, 2024

Charlotte Lynna Morris, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2024, in Morehead City, North Carolina.

Charlotte was born on January 13, 1978, in Morehead City. Charlotte's warm presence and caring nature left an undeniable mark on all who knew her. Charlotte dedicated the last year of her life caring for her beloved nieces, Charley Kate and Callahan. Her ability to provide comfort and love made her an exceptional caregiver, a role she embraced wholeheartedly. Her interests were as vibrant as her personality. Charlotte's love for her family was unparalleled, and she often expressed this through the time she spent with them, the care she provided, and the joy she found in life's simple pleasures. Charlotte's daughter, Erica, was her ultimate passion, and she devoted herself to being the best mother possible. Additionally, Charlotte had a flair for fashion, with a particular fondness for shoes. She relished the thrill of shopping; always on the lookout for the perfect pair of shoes to add to her collection.

Charlotte's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Her laughter, her love of life, and her ability to make everyone feel cherished will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

Charlotte is survived by her cherished daughter, Erica Wade of Harkers Island, who was her pride and joy, her guiding light, and her most treasured accomplishment. She also leaves behind her devoted father, Julian Morris, and his wife, Maudia, of Atlantic. Charlotte's memory will be forever honored by her loving sisters, Leslie Guthrie and her husband, Barry Guthrie Jr. of Harkers Island, and Ashley Bennett and her husband, Thomas Bennett III, of Morehead City, as well as her nephew, Bennett;  and her nieces, Charley Kate, and Callahan, who will miss her deeply and cherish every moment they spent in her nurturing embrace.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Terry Kington; stepfather, Charles Kington; paternal grandparents, Madelyn and Leslie Morris; maternal grandmother, Alice Chadwick; maternal grandfather, Howard Rose.

As we say goodbye to Charlotte Lynna Morris, we celebrate the life of a woman who was a beacon of kindness and love. Her legacy is one of unwavering devotion to her family, a testament to the beautiful life she lived, and the countless lives she touched. Charlotte's memory will be treasured forever, as we hold her close in our hearts and remember the light she brought into this world.
