Dale E. Hummer, 84, of Stella, NC, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, peacefully passed away on Friday June 3, 2016. Mr. Hummer was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the US Army. A graduate of Lebanon High School, Dale received his engineering degree from Penn State University. After a long career as an industrial engineer he retired from Westinghouse Electric Company. Dale had a passion for life. He enjoyed sailing, skiing, golfing and dancing. He loved his family and is survived by his two sons, Stephen Eugene Hummer of Vancouver, WA; Dale Russell Hummer of Pittsburgh, PA; daughter, Lauren Hummer Braunston of Issaquah, WA; two grandchildren, Tori and Kristy Braunston of Issaquah, WA; brother, John Hummer of Palmyra, PA; sister, Brenda Lehman of Dallastown, PA. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Rita Mary Hummer; second wife, Lorraine Ann Hummer; sister, Audrey Whitehead; parents, John and Helen Hummer. Memorial service will be held on June 25th at 11:00 at St. Johns United Methodist Church in Grantville, PA. Also, in Pittsburgh, friends are welcome to celebrate the life of Dale at The Wooden Nickle Restaurant at 4006 Berger Lane, Monroeville, PA on Sunday June 26th any time between 4:00-7:00pm.
