Donovan Lee Crumbacker

Donovan Lee Crumbacker, 23, of Beaufort, passed away Wednesday July 20, 2016 at home. Donovan worked as a commercial fisherman. He enjoyed surfing, skateboarding and driving through the Blue Ridge Mountains with his partner Liz and their dog Ruby. He attended school at East Carteret High School and Carteret Community College. A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM Sunday at Carteret Memorial Gardens in Beaufort with Pastor Paul Gillikin officiating. He is survived by his partner Elizabeth Machado Mello, and daughter Carmen Machado Mello Crumbacker; grandparents, Lee and Kathie Crumbacker of Beaufort; an aunt Farrah Brooks and husband Chris of Clayton and their children Krista, Ethan, and Emily; maternal great grandmother, Leonda Dudley of Beaufort; paternal great grandmother Dolena Bell of Beaufort; and two sisters, Lauren Beacham of Williston, and Jordan Murphy of Petal, Mississippi. He is preceded in death by his father Buddy Crumbacker; his mother Mary Beacham; and great grandfathers, Elmer Dudley and Charles Bell.
