Obituary Elbert Ray Fulcher, 63, of Bettie, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern. Ray was a lifelong commercial fisherman. The family will celebrate his life at a later date. He is survived by his significant other, Bobbie Styron of Bettie; son, Josh Fulcher of Morehead City; daughter, Amy Chilton of Beaufort; two step sons, Jeremy Ferguson of Marshallberg; Justin Ferguson of Bath; five grandchildren, Matthew Chilton, Kyle Chilton, McKenna Fulcher, Tate Ferguson, and Gus Ferguson; brother, Artie Fulcher and wife, Debbie of Beaufort; three nieces, Michele Fulcher and Mila Fulcher of Gloucester; Mandy Fulcher of Mooresville ; nephew, Rayan Fulcher of Tampa, FL; his best friend, Fernie Paul Willis of Bettie; and his furry cat, Snowball. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Violetta Fulcher and brother, Jay Fulcher; maternal grandparents, Lottie and Arthur Lewis.
