Elsie Mae Morton

Obituary Elsie "Mimmie" Mae Morton, 91, of Harlowe, passed away Saturday, February 03, 2018 at Carteret Health Care of Morehead City. Mrs. Morton was a lifelong member of Harlowe United Methodist Church and was a twelve-year member of the UMC Womens Group. She worked for the Civil Service aboard Cherry Point, NC and retired after 22 years of service. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Harlowe United Methodist Church with Pastor Gina Barrow officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. She is survived by her daughter, Patty Morton Banks and husband, Walter of Beaufort; granddaughter, Amanda Willis Small and husband, Jeffrey of Harlowe; grandson, Joseph Morton Willis of Beaufort; three great grandchildren, Brody Sadler Willis of Beaufort; Harrison Thomas Small of Harlowe; Emmalyn Kate Willis of Otway; brother, Sidney Allen Parnell of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters, Ola Deal; and Nancy Parnell Jones both of Blunts Creek, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Onie Parnell; husband, Joseph Sadler Morton; three sisters: Berniece Wainwright, Callie Beddards, Addie Roberson; two brothers: Alvin Vance Parnell Jr., Bobby Wayne Parnell.
