Floyd B. Taylor, 69, of Otway, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington. Mr. Taylor was a member of the Island Road Baptist Church and worked most of his life in construction. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Island Road Baptist Church in Straits with Pastor Charles Tyler officiating. Mr. Taylor is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Belcher and her husband, Darrin of Batavia, OH; five grandchildren, David; Cody; Jasmine; Katelyn; and Geneva; seven great-grandchildren; step-son, Joe Williford of Newport; brother, Thomas Taylor of Hampstead; sister, Dorothy Taylor Russell and her husband, Billy of Winston-Salem. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy (Lawrence) Taylor; brothers, John Taylor Jr,; and Lloyd Taylor. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm 8:00pm on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the Island Road Baptist Church in Straits.
