Fred William Huttel

Fred William (Punty) Huttel Sr., 85, of Emerald Isle, NC, formerly of Winter Garden, Fl and Hermantown, MN. Returned to the skies on May 3 at his home with his daughter Becky at his side. Fred was born in Duluth to Fred and Amelia (Engel) He graduated from Hermantown HS, then attended UMD until joining the Air Force. He married his high school sweetheart Shirley Johnson and began his 20 year career in the skies. After retiring from the Air Force, he began driving bus for the Orange County school system, and the city of Orlando. Fred enjoyed gardening, his grandchildren and traveling with his companion Trudy Jones Fred is preceded in death by his parents, wife and sisters Margaret Ruse and Marion Schubitzke Surviving Fred are his brothers Robert and Larry (Barb), his children Rebecca Emerson of Emerald Isle NC, Fred Jr of Duluth, Chris Winter of Garden Fl and Brian Wildwood Fl. seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity 27th Ave. W. on Saturday May 14.
