George Reels

Obituary George Reels, 73, passed away August 12th 2020 at Carteret Health Care after a long battle with cancer. Born in Morehead City, North Carolina on the October 4, 1946 to Carrie Johnson and John Simmons. George spent most of his life in Carteret County, North Carolina where he was raised by his grandmother Mary Jane Davis. The family of George Reels would like to thank everyone for their prayers and their kindness during this time. They would also like to give a special shout out to Rena Pearl Reed whom welcomed George into her home with open arms to help care for him in his time of need. Rena Reed would also like to give a special thanks to Ms. Carmella Wallace and all of the other care workers who were there for George during his time of need. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Gainesville, Georgia, brothers Albert (Marva) Pierce, Bobbie Pierce, Charles Pierce, Sanford, Florida, Sisters Sue Jones, Merrmion, North Carolina, Mattie and Patricia Pierce, Sanford, Florida. In addition to his mother and father, Carrie Johnson and John Simmons,he his proceeded in death by his son Norman Graham. A graveside service will be held on Monday August 17, 2020 at 1pm at God's City of Refuge Cemetery with Pastor Willie Murray. Arrangements by Noe Funeral Service, Inc of Beaufort, NC.
