Obituary Glenn Andrew Geraghty, 67, of Carteret County, NC died peacefully at home on May 31, 2019, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Glenn was born in Carteret, New Jersey, son of the late Thomas & Emily Geraghty. He grew up in Raleigh, graduated from Needham Broughton High School, studied Economics at NC State University and owned and operated the Dairy Queen, Emerald Isle for over 14 years. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11:00AM with Rev. Rochele Bailey officiating. A reception following at Harlowe United Methodist Church located at 4261 NC Hwy 101, Newport, NC 28570. In addition to his parents, Glenn is predeceased by his wife Helen Peyton Geraghty; a brother, Thomas C. Geraghty; and nephew Jason M. Geraghty. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Nancy Pagani Geraghty; daughters Melissa Dunn (Dave) & Allison Geraghty; stepchildren Meredith & Nick Pagani; his most beloved grandchildren Adeline & Harrison Dunn; brothers Kevin (Brenda) & John (Michele) Geraghty; sisters Pamela Bishop, Claudia Graham (Peter), & Lisa Whitney, and many dear nieces and nephews. "Mr. Glenn" epitomized kindness, gentleness and hospitality to family, friends and strangers throughout his life. Glenn loved children, boating on the Newport River, fishing, golfing, kayaking, listening to music, cheering the Wolfpack, watching baseball, football, hockey or most any sporting event. Being with family and living life on the Crystal Coast brought him great joy. Glenn will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him. Glenns family expresses heartfelt thanks for the prayers and support throughout his illness from their entire community, especially their church family.
