Harriet Jessie Corwin

Obituary Harriet Corwin, 97, of Morehead City passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Harborview Rehab and Nursing Home of Morehead City, NC. Harriet is remembered for her ability to make others around her smile. She enjoyed many years of teaching youth in Sunday School, 4-H, and horse riding. She also carved ducks and shorebirds, selling them at local art shows. She shared over 54 years of extensive family camping excursions all over the country with her husband, Ken. With a love for the outdoors and wildlife, there were many laughs and treasured memories. A Celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 8, 2018 at All Saints Anglican Church in Newport with Rev. Dave Linka officiating. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Dean of Morehead City; son, Bernie Corwin and wife, Velvet of Bettie; seven grandchildren, Lori of Columbus, Ga; Angela Archbell of Zebulon, NC; Timothy Dean of Nashville, NC; Dawn Canales of San Antonio, TX; Caroline Walker of Goose Creek, NC; Christian Corwin of Morehead City; Harlan Collins of Gloucester, NC and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Corwin; daughter, Lillous Owens and son, Jack Corwin; great granddaughter, Bailey Mason.
