Harriett Norris Douglas, 67, of Harkers Island,formerly of Badin Lake, NC passed away Wednesday September 30, 2015 at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City. The family will celebrate her life privately; she was a beloved wife and mother. Mrs. Douglas was survived by her husband, Newbern Douglas of the home; two sons, Edwin "Eddie" Bailey Barefoot II and wife Suzette Short of Sophia, NC; Aaron Lee Barefoot and wife, Amie of Lebanon, TN; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Norris Hall and husband, Nathan of Linden, NC; Jennifer Norris of Simpsonville, NC; numerous nieces and nephews.
