Obituary Heather Murray Kelmell, 47, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2023 at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City. Born on February 23, 1976, in Raleigh, North Carolina, Heather was a beacon of kindness, love, and thoughtfulness that touched the lives of many. A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 8400 Poole Rd, Knightdale, NC 27545. The family will begin receiving friends at 10:00 on Saturday at the church. Heather was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, and friend. She is survived by her devoted husband of seven years, John Kelmell of Newport; her loving father, Mike Murray of Knightdale; mother, Nancy Zerrer and step-dad, John of Virginia, two cherished sisters, Shannon Michetti and her husband, Jeff of Clayton, and Sommer Justice and her husband, Steve of Garner. Heather also leaves behind her paternal grandmother, Martha Murray of Knightdale. Heather's professional life was marked by an unwavering dedication to the well-being of others. As a nurse, her kindness was not only a personal trait but a professional one as well. Her colleagues and patients will remember her as an angel who brought comfort and care to those in need. Her impact in the medical field was profound and will be deeply missed. Heather's interests extended beyond her professional life. She was loved by many for her warm spirit and her unwavering kindness. Her family and friends will remember her for her loving nature, her thoughtful gestures, and her ability to bring joy to any situation. Heather's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, her spirit a testament to a life well-lived.
