Obituary James Everett Lupton Sr., 86, of Beaufort, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home in Morehead City. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Vergie Mae Cemetery, Harkers Island. James worked as a body man working on cars for many years. He loved the water and enjoyed shrimping and eating oysters. He is survived by his six children, Johnny Wayne Lupton of Morehead City, David Allen Lupton (Dawn) of Beaufort, Donnie Ray Lupton of Morehead City, Brenda Lee Brande of Newport, Jamie Lupton of Otway, and Kojak Lupton of CO; siblings, William Lupton (Patty) of Beaufort and Patricia Moore of Havelock; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and his loving canine companion, Penny Lou. James was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Venita Eileen Gillikin Lupton; son, Jimmy Lupton; two daughters, Kathy Eileen Lupton and Ruby Dawn Lupton; and his sister, Rosemarie Pittman.
