Obituary James "Jimmy" Edward Schofield, 71, of Beaufort, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Grace Presbyterian Church of Beaufort with Pastor David Phelps officiating. Burial will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Mr. Schofield served in the US Army. He is survived by his two brothers, Robert Charles Schofield Jr. of Kinston and John "Johnny" Allen Schofield of Beaufort; niece, Judy Kay Schofield of Newport. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Hetty Schofield and brother, Phillip Rogers Schofield. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Grace Presbyterian Church of Beaufort.
