Obituary Janie L. Davis, 71, of Beaufort, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at PruittHealth in Sea Level. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Bridgeway Church in Beaufort. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow the service at Oceanview Cemetery in Beaufort. Janie Lou Davis was born June 26, 1950 in Morehead City to the late Elijah & Evelyn Garrison, she departed this life March 12, 2022. She was a devoted Mother, Sister, Aunt, and was a friend with everyone she encountered. Janie loved to sing and her favorite song was Neither One of Us (Gladys Knight). She praised God all the time and was a member of Purvis Chapel AME Zion Church. She leaves to cherish a brother, Jack Garrison; special niece, Bettie Spell of Morehead, Evelyn & William Nolon, Morehead; Regina & Corey Dixon of Havelock, NC, Miah Hucks of Havelock; Victoria Nolon of Morehead; Eola & Lewis Pennywell, Amanda & Otis Bennett, Judy & Michael Johnson of Alexandria, LA; Niece Clarice Green of PA; Jacqueline Garrison, Clarissa Bell, of Newport, Harriett Wilson of New Hampshire. Nephews: Jack Garrison III, Henry George, of Havelock David & Rita, Demetris Nolon, Michael Hucks, Mikail Hucks of Morehead; Miguel Garrison of Newport, Elvin Henry III of Texas; Special Friends, George Henry, Melvin Davis, Martha Lockheart; Special daughter Tonya Gillikin and Special Care Giver, Emmavon Oden and Hospice of Pruitt Health Care (Sea-Level).
