Obituary Jason Wayne Gillikin, 40, of Harkers Island passed away Friday, May 11, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Refuge Fellowship Church with Pastor Manly Rose and Rev. Merle Hunt Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Vergie Mae Cemetery. He is survived by his mother, Susan Gillikin Styron and stepfather, David Keith Styron of Cedar Island; stepsister, Beverly Styron Gaskill of Cedar Island; stepbrother, Billy Jack Styron of Bettie; uncle, Cedric Wayne Gillikin and aunt, Kim of Portland, ME; aunt, Lina Gillikin Sanders and uncle, Ken of Sandford; aunt, Doris Gillikin and uncle, Charles Makely Willis, Jr. of Davis Shore; aunt Lisa G. Hunt and uncle, Merle Dean Hunt of Gloucester; uncle, Dewey Wayne Willis of Morehead City; cousins, Merle Dean Hunt Jr. of Gloucester; Tera Dawn Kittrell of Marshallberg; Brittany Lorraine George of Marshallberg; Tina Manson Wu of Cape Carteret. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Lee Taylor; maternal grandparents, Noah and Katherine Gillikin; two aunts, Venita Lupton and Patricia G. Moore. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the church. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to Jeremiah 33:3 Ministries of NC, 105 Conch Ct. Gloucester, NC 28528.
