Jenny Lind Russell

Obituary Jenny Russell, 74, of Harkers Island passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Russell retired after 27 years aboard Cherry Point as an aircraft electrician. She was a lifelong member of Huggins Memorial Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Huggins Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor David Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Armecia Lewis Cemetery. She is survived by her daughter, Erica Russell Willis of Harker Island; son, Vince Russell of Bettie; three grandchildren; four brothers, Doug Guthrie of Harkers Island; Mitchell Guthrie of Newport; Larry Guthrie of Kinston; Frank "Abba" Guthrie of Harkers Island. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Bertha Guthrie; husband, Charles Eric Russell; grandson, Michael Russell; brother, Garland Guthrie; sister, Barbara Atkins. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 Thursday at the Church.
