Obituary Jo Ann Pickett, 77, of Beaufort, passed away Friday, July 05, 2019 at her daughters home. She was a very loving and caring mother and member of the VFW Post 2401 in Beaufort. The family will celebrate her life privately. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Newman of Beaufort; son, Richard Newman III and wife, Loyce of Newport; three grandsons, Robert Newman of Portland, OR; Antonio Newman of Beaufort; Lester Gillberg of Herington, KS; great grandson, George Gillberg of Herington, KS; aunt, Mary Hudson of Sea Level; and also numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Guthrie and Minnie Canon and her three brothers, Martin and Edward Guthrie, and James Harvey.
