John Henry Williams

November 20, 1942 — March 4, 2016

John H. Williams Sr., 73, of Havelock, passed away March 4, 2016. Mr. Williams served in the US Marines Corps. Mr. Williams retired from International Harvester/Navistar after 35 years of service. He worked as a mobile home repair man and later owned and operated his own mobile home assembly business. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at Oak Grove United Methodist Church of Havelock with Pastor Neal Salter officiating. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elaine Salter Williams of Havelock; son, John H. Williams Jr. of Ft. Wayne, IN; two daughters, Gale L. Palmer of Ft. Wayne, IN; Tonia E. Long and husband, Don of New Haven, IN; six grandchildren, Jacob, Casey, Tara, Collin, Megan, and Grace; two brothers, Thomas Williams of Churubusco, IN; Charles Williams of Portsmouth, NH; sister, Arlene Starry of Ft. Wayne, IN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Stella Williams; three brothers, Bill, Paul, and Walter; two sisters, Wanda McHenry and Marylin Fields.
