John 'Skimmer' Daniel Dyer

Obituary John "Skimmer" Dyer Sr, 58, of Otway NC, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 while doing what he loved most, fishing. Mr. Dyer loved being on the water and earned the nickname "Skimmer" from his days of shrimping. The family will celebrate his life at a later date. Mr. Dyer is survived by his wife, Tara Evelyn Dyer; daughter, Lacy Elizabeth Holly; daughter, Bonnie Ann Oliver; son, Brody Elwood Dylan Dyer; son John Daniel Dyer Jr; brother, Dennis Wayne and his wife Barbara Dyer; sister, Judy and her husband Clarence "Buzzy" Holloway; nephew, Dennis A. and his wife Elona Dyer; niece, Kara and her husband Ed Pyne; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elwood and Dorothy Dyer; brother, Elwood "Sparky" Dyer; and sister, Joan Dyer Hartman.
