Johnathan Earl Wilson

Obituary Johnathan Earl Wilson, 59, of Laurel Road, North River, passed away on December 1, 2022 in Rochester, Minnesota. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, December 30, 2022 at Bridgeway Church of Beaufort. Johnathan Earl Wilson was born February 22, 1963, in Carteret County to his parents, the late Esther Small and James Henry Wilson Sr. Johnathan took his rest on December 1, 2022. In his early years he joined Mt. Tabor MBC. Johnathan worked at Atlantic Veneer for many years. Johnathan was known as the "Kit Kat Kid" and for his humor and quick wit, and of course his dance moves. Johnathan is survived by his children: Sergio Wilson, Valentae Wilson, Jeron Wilson, and Lou Anne Shafer; his father, James Henry Wilson Sr.; two sisters: Romes Holmes of Havelock, and Jane Wilson of Morehead City; his twin brother, James H. Wilson Jr. of Morehead City, and two brothers: Christopher Wilson of Arizona, and Edward Wilson of Morehead City; his uncle, Leo Wilson; aunts: Jean Carol Wilson of Beaufort, Geraldine Wilson of Beaufort, Cornila Brown, Juanita George of Harlowe, and Janice George of Harlowe; his twelve grandchildren; and a hosts of nieces, nephews, and cousins, including a very special cousin, Jerry Wilson Jr. He was loved by many who considered him a friend. He is preceded in death by his mother, Esther Small, and his sister, Jalila Joyner Perry.
