Joseph 'Joe' Edward Taylor

Joseph "Joe" Edward Taylor, 74, of Davis, passed away Saturday April 23, 2016 at his home. Mr. Taylor enjoyed working on the water, he also worked at Cherry Point. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Davis Original Free Will Baptist Church with Pastors Keith Wall, Jimmy Mercer, and Ron Davies officiating. Burial will follow at Nelson Bay Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Wanda Taylor of Davis; son, Joseph Franklin Taylor of Davis; two daughters, Patricia Gail Copeland of Winter Haven, FL; Laura Marie Connor of Winter Haven, FL; four grandchildren, John, Jocelyn and Michael Copeland; Alexa Boyette; nephew, William "Billy" Taylor of Atlantic; two nieces, Jamie Taylor of Atlantic; Katherine Goodwin of Morehead City; and many other beloved family members. Preceded in death by his parents, Moye and Marie Taylor; brother, James Taylor. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday at the Church.
