Juanita 'Nita' Jarman

Obituary Juanita "Nita" Moore Jarman, 88, of Beaufort, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. Nita was born on June 4, 1931 in Beaufort to Isaac "Ikie" and Mary "Polly" Moore. She was married to the late Charles Calvin Jarman. Nita graduated from Beaufort High School and worked for the Town of Beaufort until her retirement. She was a lifelong member of Ann Street United Methodist Church. A private Graveside Service will be held. She is survived by her two children, Paula Ann Jarman Taylor of Beaufort; Chuck Jarman and his wife JoAnn of Georgetown, SC; four grand-children, Walt (Christie) Taylor of Windham, NH; Corey (Janie) Taylor of Beaufort; Evan (Erin) Jarman of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and Anna (Steven) Zitnick of Columbia, SC; two great-grandchildren, Hadley and Madison Zitnick; numerous nieces, nephews, and a large self-adopted family whom she was known to them all as "The Ma". In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Juanita's name can be given to the Ann Street United Methodist Church 417 Ann St. Beaufort, NC 28516. These donations will specifically be used to help families negatively impacted by Covid-19 / Coronavirus.
