Katy Dixon

Katy Dixon, 76, of Beaufort, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Snug Harbor on Nelson Bay. Mrs. Dixon was a lifelong member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Beaufort. Katy, along with her husband Bud, owned and operated KDs Florist of Beaufort for over 40 years. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday at First Free Will Baptist Church of Beaufort with Pastor Richard C. Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her two sons, Buddy Dixon and wife, Debbie of Beaufort; Kyle Dixon and wife, Kimberly of Beaufort; four grandchildren, Danielle Gillikin of Otway; Christopher Dixon of Beaufort; Andrew Dixon of Chics Beach, VA; Megan Lewis of Gloucester; three great grandchildren, Taylor Rose Gillikin of Otway; Riley Brooke Hill of Gloucester; Alexandra Hazel Gillikin of Otway; brother, John Franklin Gillikin of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Dortha "Dot" Hewitt of Beaufort. She was preceded in death by her parents, Worden and Lottie Gillikin; husband, Bud Dixon; brother, James Gillikin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at the Church. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
