Kenneth "Ken" Paul Ford, Sr.

Kenneth “Ken” Ford, 80, of Havelock, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 in New Bern.

Ken was an undergraduate of UNC Chapel Hill and received his MBA at ECU of Greenville. Ken served in the US Army during Vietnam and retired from the civil service at NADEP Cherry Point. He was also a private pilot and a beekeeper. 

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 23, 2024 at Harlowe United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Monday at the church. 

He is survived by his wife of over 42 years, Esther Small Ford of Havelock; son, Kenneth Paul Ford Jr. of New Bern; daughter, Kathryn Ford Kopp and husband, Joe of Havelock; grandson, Tyler Kopp and wife, Mackenzie of San Antonio, TX; granddaughter, Madison Kopp of Havelock; granddaughter, Breanna Kopp of Havelock; sister, Ann Madre and husband, Ed of Winfall, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Kathryn Ford.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to any local animal shelter or to any Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Ken.
