Letha "Dolly" Gaskill Willis

Letha "Dolly" C. Willis (née Gaskill) passed away peacefully on September 26, 2024, in Beaufort, NC, at the age of 81. Born on January 19, 1943, in Morehead City, NC, Dolly was known for her wit, vibrant spirit, and loving nature. She dedicated her life to her family and her work as a seamstress and caregiver, touching the lives of many with her kindness and devotion. Dolly's love for the Lord was evident as He was her rock and refuge. 

Dolly attended Beaufort High School and spent much of her life in the area she always called home. She attended Refuge Fellowship Church, where she found great comfort and community.

In her leisure time, Dolly enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time on the water, which brought her great joy and peace throughout her life.

Dolly was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jimmy" Willis; her son, William "Billy" Pittman; grandson, Robbie Willis; granddaughter, Breanna Willis; her parents, Harry and Letha Gaskill; her sisters, Lala Cole, Mary Lou Ackers, and Carolyn "Tinky" Pritchett; and her brothers, Ernest and Harry Gaskill Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Willis; sons, Paul, and Roger Pittman; granddaughter and caregiver, Jessica Pittman; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will miss her deeply.

A service to celebrate Dolly’s life will be held on October 2, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Refuge Fellowship Church, 109 Mullens Dr., Harkers Island, NC. with interment to follow at Ocean View Cemetery in Beaufort. Noe Funeral Home of Beaufort, NC, is assisting the family during this time.
