Lillie Mae Murrell

Obituary Lillie Mae Murrell, 93, of Beaufort, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern. Mrs. Lillie was a member of Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Treasurer and on the User Board. She worked for many years at Sunshine Laundry in Morehead City and later as a care giver for the elderly. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Bridgeway Church of Beaufort. Burial will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens in Beaufort. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 Saturday at the Church. She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Johnson and husband, Arizona of Beaufort; daughter, Nancy Benders of Beaufort; son, Nathan Murrell and wife, Lorraine of Beaufort; daughter, Glovinia Tate of Beaufort; 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Pinky Murray; husband, Joe Nathan Murrell; son, Artis Lee Murrell; great grandson, Elijah Benders, and her five siblings.
