Sea Level

Lisha Jo Gillikin, 64, of Sea Level, entered eternity at her home on Saturday, March 22, 2025.

A celebration of Lisha's life will be held on April 6, 2025 at 2:00pm at the home of her sister, Lynda Lewis, located at 856 Piggott Road in Gloucester.

Lisha Jo was a free spirit with a heart full of adventure, her passing away left behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering faith. From her early days working on cruise ships to her more recent roles in housekeeping at Carteret County’s first detox center, and caring for her beloved great-nephew Cross Long, Lisha embraced life with energy and joy.

She loved the beach, cherished her family deeply, and found happiness in every moment. Whether she was having a good time with loved ones or sharing her love for Jesus, she lived with passion and purpose.

Lisha is survived by her mother, Eleanor Sue Gaskill; her son, Timothy Gaskill Jr.; step son, Sidney Gillikin Jr.; her grandchildren, Eryka Gaskill and Domanick Gaskill; her brother, Frank Jr. Gaskill and his children, Patrick Salter, John Gaskill, Riley Gaskill, and Aidan Gaskill; her sister, Laura Freedman (John); along with their children, Susan Willis, Daniel Willis, and Darrin Horner; her sister, Lynda Lewis (Kenny), along with their daughter, Kendra Long (Jerry), and their children, Cross and Faith Long; her sister, Leena Wells (Jeffrey), along with their children, Dakota Willis and fiancé, Lauren Lomax, Ashton Willis, Stephen Wells, and William Wells; her best friend and aunt, Priscilla Taylor and her cousin, Laura Murphy, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Gillikin Sr.; her father, Eldridge Frank Gaskill Sr.; her aunts, Clara Small (Gene) and Evelyn Felske; her uncles: Wilbert Lewis, Lester Salter, Will Lawrence, Joe Taylor, John Taylor, Harvey Taylor Jr; and niece, Kendalyn Lewis.

Lisha's adventurous spirit, kind heart, and love for her family and faith will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she rest peacefully in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
