Lois Joan Lewis

Lois Joan Hill Lewis, 59, of Beaufort, passed away Saturday August 20, 2016 at her home in Beaufort. Mrs. Lewis lived her entire life at North River. She was a member of the North River United Methodist Church. She worked as a hairdresser and caregiver. The family will conduct a memorial service 11:00 AM Thursday at the North River United Methodist Church with Pastor Benjamin E. Horton officiating. She is survived by her husband, Eddie "Fir" Lewis of Raleigh; step son, Brandon Lewis of Raleigh; granddaughter, Lauren Beachem of Williston; great granddaughter, Carmen Machado Mello Crumbacker; two brothers, Bobby Hill and wife, Deloise of Beaufort; Danny Hill of Tustin, CA; two sisters, Ann Temple and husband, Earl of New Bern; Betty Jane Willis of Beaufort. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nellie and L J Hill; daughter, Mary Evelyn Beachem; grandson, Donovan Lee Crumbacker. The family will receive friends following the service.
