Margaret Ruth Childers

Obituary Margaret Childers, 91, of Beaufort, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Bridgeway Church in Beaufort with Rev. Jerry Linebarger officiating. Burial will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Childers is survived by her daughter, Sue (Donny) Brill of Beaufort; sons, Robert Allen of Beaufort; William (Catherine) Allen of Morehead City; Richard (Debbie) Allen of Beaufort; nine grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and special friend Linda Slade. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Allen. Mrs. Childers was the eldest of five children all of whom preceded her in death. A visitation at Bridgeway Church will be held from 12:00pm to 1:45pm on the day of the funeral.
