Obituary Melvin Leroy Everette, 58, of Havelock passed away Tuesday, October, 23, 2018 at his home. Mr. Everette served in the US Army and was a member of St. Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Havelock. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Freedom Tabernacle Church with Pastor Mike Manning officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. He is survived by his daughter, Sherri Braxton and husband DeJarvis Sr. of Yuma, AZ; parents, Milton Everette Sr. and Emma Everette of Havelock; Three grandchildren, DeJarvis Jr.; DeMarion; and Yasmeen Braxton; brother, Dwight Everette and wife Georgia of Havelock; brother, Milton Everette Jr. and wife Julie of Havelock; brother David Everette of Havelock; brother, Charles Everette of Long Island, NY; sister, Catherine Byam of San Deigo, CA; and sister, Deidre Everette of Havelock. He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Everette; brother, Terrill Everette; and sister, Anita Everette.
