Melvina Hill

Melvina Hill was born July 7, 1958, to Joseph & Mable Hill in Morehead City, North Carolina. She was raised in Tinton Falls and Asbury Park NJ. She was affectionately known to everyone to include family and friend as ‘Sister’. She loved having a good time with her family and friends while balancing being the most introverted extrovert around.

She entered into eternal rest on February 22, 2025.

Melvina was preceded in death by her parents Joseph & Mable Hill, her brothers Moses Farrow, Joseph Hill Jr., and Alfred Hill, as well as her sister Patricia Hill. She leaves to cherish her memories of her children, Eric Hill, Tyeisha Smith and Tricia Phillips. She also leaves behind a brother Douglas Farrow, 5 sisters, Sheila Norris, Sharon Hill, Darlene Hill, Laurie Hill Massey & Roxanne Lathon; and 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Zion Temple AME Zion Church in Havelock, NC, with a visitation an hour prior to the service.

She will be missed by all.
