Minnie 'Mickey' Mae Taylor

Minnie "Mickey" Taylor, 86, of Marshallberg, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport. Ms. Taylor retired after 25 years as a Registered Nurse with the Carteret County Health Department. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Bridgeway Church in Beaufort. A private family burial will follow at Victoria Cemetery in Marshallberg. She is survived by her son, Charles Wayne Taylor and his companion, Annette of Marshallberg; daughter, Pam and husband, Todd Collins of Burgaw; granddaughter, Allison Paige Taylor of Marshallberg; brother, William R. Lyon of Port Richey, FL; sister, Celesta Lyon of Bradenton, FL; and her nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Freddie and Alice (Kretchmer) Lyon; son, Alvah Monroe Taylor III.
