Mona Lovon Jones

Obituary Mona Lovon Murrell Jones was born to the late Willie R. Murrell and the late Lucille Murray Murrell on October 7, 1964 and departed this life on January 31, 2018. Mona received her Christian foundation at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church at an early age. She later joined Yadah under the umbrella of Faith Tabernacle of Praise in Beaufort, NC. Mona graduated from East Carteret High School and earned her CNA Certification from Carteret Community College. She later continued her education at Craven Community College earning several certifications. She worked at Harborview Nursing Home and Carteret General Hospital. Mona leaves to cherish her memory; husband, Reginald Jones of the home; son, Jermaine Murrell of Beaufort; daughter, LaQueita Carter of Charlotte; grandchildren, Trese and Kaiya; brother, Kenneth S. Murrell; sisters, Jacqueline (Ray) Teel of Beaufort; Geneva (James) Henderson of Hephziah, GA; uncles, McCline; Charles (Ruby); Winston (Rose) Murrell all of Beaufort; and Levi (Joyce) Murrell of Pittsburg, PA; six nephews; two nieces; seven great nephews and nieces; and one great-great nephew.
