Myra Lu Holloway (Storasli)

Myra Lu Storasli, known affectionately as Myra to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2024, in Havelock, NC, at the age of 83. Born on January 3, 1941, in Cut Bank, MT, Myra's life was marked by her indomitable spirit and her unwavering love for those around her.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Bridgeway Church of Beaufort.

Loving is the word that perhaps best encapsulates Myra. She was a dedicated mother to her sons, Michael Schardt and the late Patrick Schardt. Her love extended to her three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, enveloping them in warmth and affection that will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.

Myra's life journey was shared with her late husband, Vern Holloway, with whom she built many memories. She also cherished the bond with her brother, Dennis Storasli, who predeceased her. In the hearts of her family, Myra's legacy of love and passion will continue to flourish.

Myra walked through this world with a loving heart, her hands ever ready to create, and her soul ever ready to embrace life's joys. Her passion for crafts, sewing, quilting, and the friendly competition of bowling filled her days with laughter and her home with warmth. She was a woman of great faith, whose zest for learning never waned, even as the seasons of her life changed and turned.

Myra's approach to life was a lesson in resilience and enthusiasm. She showed us that every moment is an opportunity to create, to give, and to love. Her passion was a flame that never flickered, illuminating the path for those who follow in her footsteps. Myra's presence was a gift to the world, and her absence will be felt deeply by her loved ones and the community that she so positively impacted.

May her memory be a blessing to us all, and may we find comfort in knowing that her legacy will continue to bloom in the lives she touched. Her essence remains with us, urging us to live fully, love deeply, and laugh heartily. She showed us that the spirit never ages, and that the heart's capacity to love is infinite. We love you and miss you. May you feel the warm embrace of our Heavenly Father as you return home.
