Obituary Omar Abdul Karim, 72, of Scotland Neck, passed away at the Crystal Coast Hospice House of Newport. He is survived by his wife, Luvories Karim of Scotland Neck; two sons, Rahman Abdul Karim of Greenville; Jameel Abdul Karim of Winterville; stepson, DeVonta Council of Rocky Mount; stepson, JuQuarius Joyner of the home; four sisters, eight brothers, and his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Thigpen and his father, Frank Cephus; son, Hekeem Abdul Karim. Remember When you remember me, it means you have carried something of who I am with you, that I have left some mark of who I am on who you are. It means that you can summon me back to your mind even though countless years and miles stand between us it means that even after I die, you can still see my face and hear my voice and speak to me in your heart.
