Obituary Pansy Lucille Young, 83, of Havelock passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Crystal Coast Hospice House of Newport. Mrs. Young was a member of the First Baptist Church of Havelock. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, April 9, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Havelock with Pastor Don Hadley officiating. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park in New Bern. Mrs. Young is survived by her daughter, Deborah Guthrie of Havelock; granddaughters, Merry Faith Palazzo of Havelock; Charity Smith of Kinston; Adrianna Young of Alabama; grandsons, Jeremiah Hilterbrand of Kinston; Jessie Young of Alabama; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Peggy Wooten of New Bern. She was preceded in death by her parents; Samuel and Ruby (Tripp) Thompson; husband, Wilbur Yong: sons, Terry and Kenny Young; and brother, Clifton "Bud" Thompson. A visitation will be held from 11:00am until the time of the funeral service on Monday at First Baptist Church of Havelock.
