Rae 'Buddy' Gillikin

Rae "Buddy" Gillikin, 98, of Otway, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Carolina East Medical Center. A service of remembrance will be held at 12:00PM on Monday, March 20, 2017, at Otway Christian Church with Pastors Rusty Willis and Jack Mumford officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at the Gillikin Family Cemetery. Ms. Gillikin is survived by her great niece and caregiver, Etta Willis, husband Rusty, their daughters, Laura and Sarah of New Bern; great nephew, Johnny Gillikin of Jacksonville, NC; many other nieces, nephews and extended family. Ms. Gillikin was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Martha Gillikin; sisters, Ethel Gillikin; Agnes Hill; Callie Hardesty; brothers, ONeal Gillikin; Dave Gillikin; Adrian Gillikin; Ira Gillikin; and Ivy Gillikin.
