Richard Alan Smith

Richard A. Smith, 61, of Panama City Beach, FL, originally of Bettie, NC passed away Saturday August 20, 2016 at his daughters home in Florida. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Woodville Baptist Church of Bettie with Rev. Winkie Chadwick and Rev. Terry D. McInnis officiating. Burial will follow at Woodville Gardens. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Smith of Panama City Beach, FL; two sons, Alan Smith of Riverdale, GA; James Smith of Panama City Beach, FL; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; mother, Ruth Knudsen of Bettie, three brothers, Victor Smith of AL; David Smith of Bettie; Harold Knudsen of Beaufort. He is preceded in death by his step father, Clayton H. Knudsen; niece, Shannon Dawn Smith. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
