Richard 'Dick' Joseph Conley

Richard "Dick" Conley, 74, of New Bern, passed away Friday March 25, 2016 at the Crystal Coast Hospice House of Newport. Mr. Conley served in the US Air Force as an officer and was a Vietnam veteran. He was a member of the Carteret Duplicate Bridge Club, Bronze Life Master with the ACBL (American Contract Bridge League), and director of the Neuse River Bridge Club. He was a well-liked and respected middle school librarian. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, M. Elizabeth Conley of New Bern; two sons, John Richard Conley of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Bryan Theodore Conley of Knoxville, TN; sister, Carolyn Wixted of Shrewsbury, MA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Helen Conley. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Crystal Coast Hospice House, 100 Big Rock Weigh, Newport, NC 28570.
